Celebrating new years together with the short course community was an amazing experience. We had a braai (barbeque), followed by different performances, dances from Ethiopia and Argentina, marshmallows on a bonfire and a count down to the new year with sparkle sticks and a Sami chant from Nothern Finland. I am sure it was a pretty special new year that everyone will remember for a long time!
I am Anski, one of the general coordinators of the short course. I’ve been involved with the preparations of the programme from the very start and it has been amazing over the past couple of days to see the programme to come alive and all the participants and facilitators getting to know each other and starting to bond as a community. I am much looking forward to the days to come!
